Linjo May-Ham and his sister Francy came to us directly from the Linjo Boerboele kennel in May 2008. Linda and Johan Swart own the small, family-owned kennel in South Africa, and I am proud to have both of their Boerboels on my farm.
Linda and Johan opened their hearts and home to me in 2009, when I was able to spend a couple of weeks with them at their kennel. It was an honour and a privilege to see the way of their land, and be able to learn and visit from other Boerboel breeders. Linda even spent time at my home here in Canada, to see first-hand how well her Boerboels were being taken care of and loved.
Thank you for your trust, gratitude and kindness. You will always be in my heart and mind.
Linjo May-Ham is a well-built, medium-sized, muscular male with excellent pigmentation. He has a red, dark, fawn coat and a dark mask and chest. He has medium bone, excellent movement and his head is a good size but may have a little too much lip.
May-Ham is extremely intelligent and easy to teach. He listens to commands easily and is willing to learn every chance he gets. He runs every day between 3 to 5 kilometres, and has the structure and appetite to work with you all day.
To this date, May-Ham has a Pennhip score of 100%, doing better than 737 and his OFA results are “excellent”. He has clean knees and elbows, with no elbow dysplasia. May-Ham also has a clean bill of health on his heart and eyes.
Even with these impressive statistics, May-Ham’s personality is his biggest asset. He is a loving, affectionate male that gets along with everyone. He is content to run with other males or females and does not need to be the alpha male. His confident temperament is loved by all. May-Ham is a very social dog, yet knows when it is time to go to work, as he is a fantastic guard dog for the farm. I am very honoured and proud to have the Linjo blood in my foundation.
