At MV Boerboel our basic philosophy is "Quality not Quantity" and upholding the highest standards.

We are devoted for the betterment of the breed, and emphasizing on sound temperament. We are committed to complete health testing and no exceptions to compromise the quality and improvement of the Boerboel.

All of our Boerboels are Pennhip Tested for hips and OFA for hips and elbows. Their knees are x-rayed and heart and eyes are also tested.

Located between Sarnia and London in the farming community of Strathroy, Ontario, MV Boerboels is approximately 45 minutes east of the Sarnia, Ontario/Port Huron, Michigan border and is surrounded by the Great Lakes.

Boerboels are my passion and my hobby. I have owned large breeds for 30 years and I now have time to pursue my dream. My mission is to produce a breed with exceptional quality, correct temperament, superb confirmation, and a trustworthy, dedicated friend. We have inherited this rare breed from our great South African forefathers who struggled with hardship, surviving a very difficult time, with the boerboels by their side intact with integrity and purity, to endure for their future and the future of their children.

I am a farmer and know firsthand this truly is a "farmer’s dog". I spent a month in South Africa and gained a new respect for this wonderful, courageous breed. I learned a lot and brought back a new understanding of the mentality of this dedicated breed.
